This contract was wholly based on us obtaining, through Triad... Schumacher underbids the sub work so your cost ends up higher than anticipated, this also puts more profit in their pockets. I wish I had seen this site and the other input before I started building with them. The windows leak air, house is always cold in the winter hot in the summer, you can stand by the windows and feel the air coming thru lowest grade window you can buy. Siding is buckling on the house where the electric meter is due to they didn't put a slip on the conduit,.

There was a hole in a line in the wall. But the techs did a great job and they did it right away. Ultimately, I had to replace the entire unit outside because it went bad from having been left leaking and turned on. Getting real annoyed of being contacted by their "smart-home liaison" or virtually anyone in lending for a house that isn't finished. DR Horton is a scam company and should not be allowed to build homes. They use a model home as a bait and switch tactic because for one you don't get the same quality of work they put into the model or the same products. I purchased a brand new home in 2021 from DR Horton or so what I thought was going to be a brand new home. It started off with our sales Rep Dosia T, she was awesome.

I seriously know people who bought their home last year unseen! With no pre-inspection from a professional. We did and even though there were only two minor issues we don’t regret spending some extra money on that. The kitchen cabinets we received have water damage on the bottom of them. In November we contacted our sales representative since we could not get our builder contact to call us back.

There's a section in the back of our yard that and the sod was already dead. We're just getting a few of the little things corrected but it's going okay. It’s a brand-new home so you can’t get too mad about it. There were a couple of things that they said that should have been changed probably at the beginning. The air filter wasn't changed and was blocking everything up.

Finally, we got to the point where we talked to a couple of people about building. We drove by, saw LGI, and we swung in there and talked to somebody one day. They gave us a packet of information and said if we decided to own a house, we could talk to somebody else if we had a plan that we were looking for in mind. The estimated closing date will probably change. My estimated closing date was changed THREE times.

Centex Homes - Chaz is an amazing builder to work with. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable. Building during a pandemic had challenges that made completion take a bit longer but that wasn't avoidable.

I went over there and I talked to them. And they offered me a good plan to buy a house there. What is important that the foundation is good, your house has gutters, the plumbing and electricity has done good.
